“Bring back MARDETs on cruisers!” (Had to quibble though with moving two 13-Marine squads ashore with a DDG’s embarked MH-60. That’s not exactly feasible, I think.)

My only experience aboard ship was LCC, LST, and LSD, so I'm sure I'm not qualified what putting a company aboard an LCS or DD looks like. The devil will be in the details, and I think the Navy would have a say about tasking.

CGs used to have them aboard (when they carried nuclear TLAMs), so maybe they could fit them. LCS might have the room but that would be a bad idea. DDGs and CGs can land/launch something bigger than a -60.
