Today, I received such an inane, extremely obviously AI generated response, in a PennMed Epic MyChart portal, to my question about an inane set of obviously AI-generated treatment recommendations in the clinical notes from a surgeon’s office, that my primary GP asked me about. We are so fucked.
As with many things like this, they get rolled out with a strong narrative and a lot of insistence that this is human-centered. And yet, people will feel like they are in a kind of quicksand of friendliness with dead-ends of care. Care will be geared toward documentation for approvals even more.
The network I work for thankfully has not integrated any sort of AI of any kind into our Epic implementations I hope it stays that way 🤞
