Agreed Alan, in industry that's the case. I'm not sure how one measures the output, performance, or necessity of federal government employees though, I know a couple of people who worked for the civil service, that left it out of boredom.

There are a lot of performance indicators and got set targets. A lot of govt jobs are manual work whilst desktops will have targets to meet. I know people in many jobs who left because they were bored

I can't argue with you because I have no idea, I do know that we wait a long time to get projects reviewed. I'm not suggesting they're underworked or overworked, just that they do 40 hours and clock off. There's no deadlines.

Many service workers don't have access to home email & an insufficient number of computers they have access to. Housekeepers,maintainance,cafeteria workers would come up to icu off tours to use our desk computers because they were locked out of their offices & had mandatories to do. 😔 😡
