You know I was in Midtown Manhattan in Jan. after 9-11. No troops on the streets. In 2010, I was at the Louvre in Paris. There were 4 military with AR's. It was jarring to me as an American. Sure, I talked to the French Troops and folks had pics made with them. Still, Americans aren't used to that.

In '93 I saw troops with ARs in position at shoulder height patrolling the streets of Castlewellan, just outside of Belfast. My eyes almost popped out. Freaky sh*t.

This is why I don't understand why more Americans aren't concerned. I'm from a military family. We own guns, but we have never seen a military presence in our cities like this. Do they believe it's the boiling frog theory? We'll get used to it.

Unfortunately, I think they will only become concerned when it's staring them in their faces. I met someone recently who said she abhors Trump but admitted she hasn't watched the news since Nov. She said she would never protest. She's 67, is an educated White woman. SHAME ON HER!!!
