Per the Economic Times and others, 7 Republican Senators have spoken publicly about impeding Trump's power to levy tariffs. Is it safe to assume another 7 (or more) agree but are currently unwilling to speak publicly? That is closing in on enough Senate votes to override a veto.
As for the House, per Axios, at least 12 are open to siging onto a bill to restrict Trump's tariff authority. Similar to the Senate, I think there may be more who are unwilling to speak out now, but will join as success seems more likely.
Converting the reluctant holdouts is the work I want Senator Murphy and Speaker Jeffries to do.

I think at this point only public actions can change the course we’re on. Protests must continue to get larger & we must inflict as much economic pain on companies that support this administration. If public outcry begins to dwindle the administration will know they’re on the path to full control.
I'm not sure protests are effective but I do agree economic pain may influence the administration to alter course.
I believe over time the protests can be useful, but they have to maintain large turnouts. If crowds shrink it will convey weakness & that the public is succumbing to the administration’s seizing of power beyond what is constitutional. Just my opinion though.
