The solution is for the GOP "Russia hawks" to join with Democrats and pass another Ukraine assistance bill. That would give the U.S. leverage in the negotiations. Republican Senators act like they are impotent - they aren't.

Wasting your time
What are they waiting for?
With all due respect, the solution is to let Europe take the lead (as they're doing more and more recently) and pass a Ukraine assistance bill that supports multilateral, European-led initiatives. The US needs to stop acting alone, and it needs to stop acting as de facto global leader.
I wish they would do that, but they won’t, unless Cadet Bonespurs gives his okay. He won’t. He’d rather see Ukraine in a stranglehold. Pitiful leadership…
PLEASE do this!!!!
Learned impotence.
Let’s go with this! Please!
They're not impotent. They're cowards.
They are not just cowards. They are enablers, collaborators. Every. Single. Republican.
Bur Senator you forget, they’re scared.
Chris, I think you’re one of our greatest senators. However, given the Trump admins defiance of congressionally mandated work, what makes you believe that he would do anything to facilitate more congressionally mandated assistance? Not saying you shouldn’t do this, but he’ll just refuse again.
Fat chance
I hope they will do this, but I doubt they will. If they don’t, they’ll show themselves to be as spineless and soulless as Rubio — the man who will no longer call the invasion illegal or call Putin a war criminal because … “negotiations.” Those aren’t negotiations. They’re a reality TV spectacle.
they're are just weak and afraid .. of everything.
More of our tax dollars going to waste? What the hell is the matter with you? Russia invaded Ukraine because the corrupt U.S. Congress and demented Biden, catering to the Defense Industry, set the conditions (for the invasion). I look forward to the day when Ukraine surrenders.
well ... they are impotent, but they do have available leverage in negotiations over Ukraine.
Hey, @chrismurphyct.bsky.social: thanks for your hard questioning of Marco R. in the Foreign Affairs Committee recently. Some tough questioning and deserved comments to Marco R. One can only hope he wakes up (b/c "woke"!!) to the changes he's made to himself in quest for power.
