I think even if you asked them (not using my description of them) they would say they were either centrists/moderates. They would not say they were left of center in the slightest.

Well, in their defense, liberals aren't left of center. In Europe, liberals are tht center right and they share basically the same views as Democrats. D And historically, they love trying to negotiate with and appease fascists only to lose ground to them.

Because I have to put alt text on everything I post, which feels like an additional tax on top of navigating a broken posting system and the only reason to do it is to avoid an encounter with one of those self-righteous Alt text evangelists who apparently have nothing better to do.

sounds easier than navigating social media with a screenreader when people don't use alt text - or worse, pretend they do while putting nonsense in the alt field.
