What's the point, then? You shouldn't specifically care about supporting marginalized groups because your group is gonna come up eventually. You should care because it's the right thing to do.

That's exactly the selfish, lame ass point I was railing against. "You gotta stop them or they'll be coming for you eventually." If human being were decent people, it ought to be "You gottta stop them because what they're doing to others is wrong."

If human beings were decent people no one would be coming for anybody. The point is to highlight that you should care about others, to protect each other, because no matter how much you other others, it is eventually you who gets othered. We don't live in a fairy tale.
