Perhaps. But it's breaking news. They can't just wait for someone to take a photo of the school, especially because people may not be able to access the school due to emergency personnel. Alt text would definitely be helpful though, especially for blind people who cannot see the image.

How do you expect people to try and prevent entry of the national guard into DC? Citizens could block every highway, subway, and harbor, and the national guard will still find a way in. DC is a big city, and there simply aren't enough people to block off every entry point.

I wasn't interested in scolding anyone until you decided to be snarky. I'm just explaining why people take issue with the joke. It's perfectly reasonable to be upset about wheelchair jokes made at anyone's expense. Communication is a two way street, after all. Don't be condescending.
The implication here is that it's okay to make fun of someone's disability if it's a bad guy. But at the end of the day, you're still making fun of someone's disability. You can attack Abbott without attacking all wheelchair users in the process.

This is my district. The bigger risk is keeping that seat under its current position. We haven't had a republican here since the 1940s. It's more likely that the current representative will die and the seat will be vacated than a republican winning here.
