The implication here is that it's okay to make fun of someone's disability if it's a bad guy. But at the end of the day, you're still making fun of someone's disability. You can attack Abbott without attacking all wheelchair users in the process.

It isn't the scolder’s message but his method to which I take exception. I know this much about the way language works; an Inference is not necessarily an implication. I can do as I please without the approval of random strangers, as can the autistic over-sharer, but thanks for the oversight.

I wasn't interested in scolding anyone until you decided to be snarky. I'm just explaining why people take issue with the joke. It's perfectly reasonable to be upset about wheelchair jokes made at anyone's expense. Communication is a two way street, after all. Don't be condescending.

Not gonna keep arguing with you. But you don't really have a right to get offended at people calling out ableist jokes. So at least take a second to understand why people are bothered by them, or stop being so offended by people calling them out.
