I've always heard democracy was fragile. When you see 250 years of a strong, democratic country dismantled in 6 months by an absolute ignorant, narcissistic, bully and his evil minions, then it really hits home how fragile.

For 1789, the Constitution got a *lot* right. Like provisions to make itself an evolving through amendment to adapt to changes in society.
