Reminder tomorrow morning there will be a fairly spectacular astronomical event. The Slivery Waning Crescent Moon, Jupiter, Venus, Castor, Pollux, Aldebaran, Hyades, Pleiades, and Uranus will all appear to the east. Best seen from around 3.30am. 🔭 🧪

I have just learned that at 4:29am Pacific time tomorrow morning the ISS will pass directly between the Moon and Pollux. I’ll try for either a video or time lapse, depending on what works best.

Caught a piece of it at 5:30 Pacific today: the Moon, Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury (low, at arrow), plus Castor and Pollux. Earth is in the foreground. 😉

The number of times I've been asked in the Planetarium, "where's Earth?" You're, uh, you're sitting on it.

I witnessed all if them this morning at 0430 hrs mountain time. What a wondrous display. Betelgeuse was in the mix as well just to the left of Orion.
