So, what then? Is this a reason to sit on your hands? Do you have another option for action? If not, get involved with Democrats; hold them accountable while working with them. I don't even like being involved in party politics; I do it because I don't see another way to make a difference.
I don’t think attending protest marches constitutes “sitting on your hands.”
That's fair; showing up to these is important. But try not to see it as a character flaw if some of your representatives aren't there. Sen. Schumer worked behind the scenes to pass the IRA. No one knew until he announced agreement, with Manchin, I believe.
