Came here to say this. Only a well loved horse lives such a long life. π
She was loved. One lady came out usually once a week just to groom Franny.
Beauty
She looks like the horse my granddaughter first rode when she was seven. My grand daughter looked like a horse fly on her back.
Percheron thoroughbred cross. Big strong girl.
Iβm sure you miss her. My grand daughter loves horses still, competes English style, and is going to school to be a veterinarian.
Our youngest daughter is a veterinarian- but for small animals. She still rides, loves eventing. Below is Charlie. Horses raise good people.
Yes, horses have been good for her.

I'm sorry for your loss. Family comes in all shapes and sizes.
So sorry for your terrible loss. π

Sorry for your loss. She looks very sweet and incredible for 34.
Sweet girl. π₯° I miss Trixie. I get it. Trixie and I encountered a Massasauga rattler on a trail one summer day, and she refused to take me on that trail after that. She was smart and sweet.
Wow! I remember a canter where Franny jumped a slim branch on the ground. She did not like snakes of any kind. Horses are smart.
So sorry for your loss, what a beautiful baby

I miss my life horse Gunner who I never rode. Hubby and I rescued old horses and because of bad owners, his tendons were shot but his spirit remained strong and he helped disabled kids at a special camp. We designed a special βtiny hineyβ saddle for his kiddos and it gave them all so much joy.
Thank you for loving her as much as you did.
She was beautiful. π
Thanks Diane. I hope you are having a lovely Sunday.

I'm so sorry! I took lessons in my 40's and I loved my lesson horse, EZ Spirit, so much! When he passed away, my teacher saved me a small clip from his tail. I still have it 20 years later-ill never part with it. That horse made me a better human.
They do make people better. Iβm glad you had Spirit.
She is a beauty!
Granny Girl will live on. Never forgotten. πΉβ€οΈ
Franny Girl. My apologies for spell check.
Thatβs ok. She also answered to carrot.
She sounded like quite a girl. When I was a kid the farmer up the road had a Percheron mix. His name was Dick. Heβd lead Dick and give us kids rides. 5 kids ages 5-8 on his back. Never missed a beat. Always gentle. Was an awesome horse.
Franny and I often carried a young person behind us. It was funny but she flirted with men! Batting her eyes. It was hysterical.
Was a silly girl. Iβm 67 and I remember Dick and the farmer to this day. Neither have been forgotten.
