Maybe he wrote that because it seemed unlikely to him there is a list (evidence) being kept secret from the public. The most logical question is what prompted him to say it, but I am certain most people have commented on 'the list' by now, but do we even know whether one exists?

from what we know of stephen, he isnt in any way affiliated with trump, he seems to be more on the center left so he doesnt gain much from defending trump, he also isnt really involved with politics so why does HIS opinion on this matter now, its somewhat off character.

I didn't know about the scene from the book, as all I recall reading was The Crate and Carrie. It seems like a stretch linking this bit of writing to the (supposed) Epstein list. Personally, I wonder if there is no list, but they lied that there was, so now they play along until it dies down.
