A fun childhood story is that I didn't understand how Power Levels worked in DBZ (mostly because they were constantly increasing lol) but this was before wikis or YouTube. So I found a DBZ fan site and emailed the owner and asked my question and they happily replied with a huge explanation haha

Sparked a memory of me doing something similar with a Ranma 1/2 fanfiction author. (Late 90's) I was obsessed with the series, but because video piracy was in it's infancy in the 90's, I only really read fanfics and fansites, so I sent an email asking about some detail I didn't know. Good times.
Yeah, I think this was 1999/2000? Whenever DBZ was on Toonami haha
