I'd like to go back and rewatch GWitch at some point now that I Know Things. A part of me worries it won't be as good as I remember... but at the time it was so Pikecore that after I finished I sat around for a week depressed like "god I wish there was more Gundam. ...wait a minute"

My rewatch has been pretty freaking rewarding. The great episodes are better and the meh episode was more tolerable.
There is a reason people still recommend it as a standalone gateway series into Gundam: it's a single series, self-contained, good writing, and extremely gay
I refuse to watch some of the anime I've loved in the past [when I was just getting into more than Toonami] because I'm afraid it won't hold up to what I like today.
I think its still great, any issues I had with the plot or worldbuilding were minor in comparison to how much I enjoyed the characters
