My favorite Hopkins moment in his long career is the look he gives the German officer who offers him a piece of chocolate at the end of A Bridge Too Far. He conveys so much (disdain, defeat, resignation) in one glance.

Fantastic scene indeed, excellent call out with that one. Those skills are what made the Lecter character. The character only had a page of dialogue in the film if you boil it down!
