Thanks for the lesson in etymology. You state your "beliefs are driven by facts". Which facts drive your beliefs? The "absence of god" is not a fact. It's an assumption. A metaphysical position. A belief, depending on how strongly you feel about it. But it is not a fact. Facts matter.

Could you please tell me which god you are refering to? Also, you are attributing statements to me that I didn't make.

I mistook your reply as coming from the person I was replying to initially. I'm not referring to any particular god. Just the concept of a supernatural force. There is no objective evidence for or against. Saying there is no god is not a statement of fact. Without facts, it's an opinion (belief).

Fact. I'm an animal. I will die and decompose like any life form. There's countless gods promising after life with ZERO evidence of its existence. Fact. I give two shits what people think about religion. UNTIL it affects me. So arguing with people over fables is something I avoid. Have a good one

Who's arguing over fables? I'm certainly not. The nature of belief is a study of human psychology, which is not a fable. Though human psychology is still not fully understood.

Religions are predicated on fables. They're man made.

There are how many gods that people believe in at any given time? A theist picks one arbitrary, which makes them a believer. The other people would like to see proof that any of the many gods do, in fact, exist. They still wouldn't belive in that god. Because they know it's there.
