Acht occasionally being referred to with feminine pronouns in the JAPANESE version of the website/game does not mean you should use the English feminine pronouns for them. Im willing to bet the only reason acht is referred to like that in Japanese is due to a lack of gender neutral pronouns to apply
Doesnβt acht themself use the masculine pronoun boku in the actual game? by that logic it should be okay to refer to them as a boy but hmmmmmm wonder why nobody does that
i suppose its because people online dont care about using the correct pronouns for characters, which is stupid
If Inkipedia's article on Acht is anything to go by, they were referred to with feminine pronouns in Splatoon 2, but this was dropped when they appeared in Side Order. It probably created some confusion, but people should at least try to stick to their current pronouns.
