Maybe the same topical antibiotic you get to treat shingles?
You use antivirals for shingles, not antibiotics
Is it just a standard ointment for the sores?
Oral valcyclovir, unless it’s really bad and you get a superinfection
I got valtrex (which is calculator) orally but then they made put some ointment on the sores since they were open and bleeding, which I assumed was an antibiotic.
Yeah if it’s bad and open sometimes we’ll treat with topical muprocin for that. Also that sounds awful.
lol, I do not recommend getting shingles, it was on my inner thigh halfway past the knee
Dude shingles is a bad choice (not a choice). I had very mild shingles and man having it bad would suck
Anyway, hopefully poison ivy isn’t like that.
If the shingles rash breaks, sometimes you'll get topical antibiotics as a prophylactic. It's not treating the disease as much as preventing secondary infection from bacteria.
That’s true, yeah.
Shit. Derp. You're a doc. I'm a dumb. Sorry.
I mean you weren’t wrong!
Do not recommend.
