As I said it is currently ending well for hearing impaired children. Also cataract, congenital heart condition, congenital hyperthyroidism, undescended testes, sickle cell disease, cystic fibrosis… there’s more. I’d like to keep doing this. Helpful to prepare families for future medical needs.

Everything in your list above is a physical, objectively diagnosable condition. I suppose this is where we differ. In a world where "Trans" is a stable, objectively diagnosable condition with well evidenced, successful medical pathways your idea makes good sense.

Yes, and cis/trans is physical, it’s measurable in neuroanatomy and to a lesser degree in neurochemistry. If the tech were readily available it could certainly be used to identify cis predators.

Very interesting. And also Massive ethical alarm bells! But why "cis" predators? Surely all predators?

Nothing unethical about considering future medical needs based on current medical data. I meant to say cis predators claiming to be trans. This is thought to be the case with several of the people you mentioned, and is the case with Marla Svenja Liebich in Germany at the moment.

Absolutely. So do you have a ballpark estimate for how many of the 80 or so transwomen in prison for sexual violence are just men taking the piss?

I’m not aware that such data exists as to be certain we’d need to measure, which we’re not doing.

I think you're right about that. But also, how reliable is your test for trans anyhow? But there IS a sizeable excess of trans identified males in prison for sex offences over the number you'd expect if transwomen behaved like men. Big enough to account for the "cis" piss takers you mention.

Brain scans for structure are usually considered to be around 70-75% accurate. Like I said we need to work on it.
