I am realizing that the reason it is hard to edit/revise this story is that it was written by a very different person. I would not write it now. It's interesting, but it's not me, and I could write it better but... I wrote it when a friend died, and that moment is gone.

Grief can do many things to be experiencing it. I, myself, am going through grief. I lost my partner/soul mate the day before Thanksgiving this past year. We did eventually marry, but it was only a month before he passed. What I'm saying is that I completely understand the different person, as you

I am sorry for your lost. In this case, for me, I mostly mean that the young man who wrote that story was very full of himself, and wrote with different goals and experience than I do. I can't get my head back into where it was when I wrote it at all, more like editing a stranger.

No, it's fine. The other part of my post was that this particular post mentioned that a friend, it was author Karl Edward Wagner, had died, and I wrote that story shortly afterward as a sort of tribute. Worlds ago in 1994. Rewriting it now would be a memory of a memory.
