It does not bode well that the woman in this movie (Believer) who is being (I guess?) controlled by a serial killer mentally, cuts her own throat and the director/etc. did not notice she held the knife with the flat side to her throat and it cut anyway (lol)
I tried to pitch something similar, they kept getting distracted by the Hammer.
It got nothing but negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Why do so many current horror movies insult our intelligence?
We often give the middle-of-the-road ratings movies a shot... also the main guy is the Werewolf from Lost Girl, who we like. That was one GLARING editing glitch though.
I'm spoiled. I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s, so I got to see movies like The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, The Changeling, and Night Of The Living Dead on movie screens. My bar is still pretty high. Hereditary, Midsommar, The Witch, Let The Right One In, Raw, The Babadook - hard to compete with!
It's much safer for the actor this way.
The person who messed up is the prop master. Why was the blood outlet on that side of the knife?
Maybe, there was blood all over it from the other person she just killed with it. We thought it was just meant to be a gesture, leaving some blood on her neck but no... cut, fell, dead.
