There’s another side to that issue as well. I was abandoned by my entire family. I don’t have many close relationships because I’ve prioritized financial independence. I am better off without them for sure, but it’s not always as simple as just owning it. Everyone has their own story and reasons.

Thank you. I was disowned, disinherited and abandoned. My mom stoped calling to cops to tell me when family dies so every now and again I search my own name to see if I show up in an obituary. That’s how I found out my uncle passed away.
