Don't Alaskans already get a subsidy for the oil that is pumped out? Seems to me that these "rugged individuals" in Alaska are simply welfare queens, living off the teats of the rest of us.

I heard (off of one of the many podcasts I listen to), that the bill gets them paid less than before. Not sure if that's just for the new land or all the land being drilled.
