I feel like that if you routinely disable responses and quote posts, you're only here to be heard and I should mute you?

I’m torn because there are big accounts that say a lot of inflammatory stuff behind closed comments. At the same time I’ve gotten exhausted with random weirdoes being shitty in my mentions and will often turn off responses for folks who don’t follow me and quotes if I think a post may attract them.

I get it. But how do you hear from new people if they can't interact with you, right? And if that's what you're here for, fine, but I don't see a need for that on my TL.

That’s a valid concern. At the same time why would I want to interact with new people who introduce themselves with bad faith attacks? Since there are no private accounts here I don’t think it’s beyond the pale to lock comments from time to time.
