Agree. I was born during Eisenhower's final term. From Nixon forward, Republicans have been doing their best to strip We the People of our power AND our wealth. Reagan was the worst until the twice-impeached 34-time CONVICTED FELON lost the election but took power anyway. May expire in PRISON.
I truly think that Reagan, like Trump, was a useful idiot. He was a Cal Dem before he met Nancy and her ultra-right wing Republican father. They used him as a mouthpiece because he could memorize a script, had no thoughts of his own, was a smooth talker, and had good hair.
I really didn't have much of an opinion of Reagan until he became California's governor, as I was just a kid. But I was an observant kid and listened when my parents and older sisters discussed politics at the dinner table. From his second term as governor on, I've despised him and his sycophants.
Frankly, I think you nailed it. Like the twice-impeached criminally seditious traitor, he was a lifelong liberal until Nancy and G.E. got hold of him, and used him to transfer the wealth of the poor and the middle class uphill. We're STILL paying a stiff price for his abysmal policies.
