It probably hurts to walk with the edema and possibly ulcerated wounds. His breathing is probably labored, and i can see signs if this with shoulders heaving and mouth opening for extra air. The confusion, lethargy all indicate O2/blood flow issues to the brain.
Sooner or later, he will need dialysis and with chf that comes with a high risk of sudden cardiac death, which is what happened to my husband.
Im a former rn, and from what I can see, I'm going to say 12 months if he makes it through cold and flu season.
The problem is, I'm afraid WE wont make it 12 months...
