UdeV went on the warpath against Self-help Graphics for some ungodly reason. Picketed the Wierd Wave coffee shop. And even attacked tenants rights lawyers who were competing with their preferred providers. They have received city grants amazingly. To throw rocks through coffee shop windows!

They had a sort of “sound art” collective called Ultra-Red. Union de Vecinos also went into I think Bell where they got education grants which they basically stole. They spearheaded a successful campaign to chase art galleries out of Boyle Heights….
