I mean I’m white my family actually immigrated for asylum as all of them were being publicly executed and tortured by the Soviets and the Nazis. Dad’s family came from Russia and Poland whereas my Mom’s family came from Spain and Greece. But hey I guess 3 generations down I’m an illegal too.
By his logic we all are, unless you are native. My own family preexisted America by 150 years thanks to the Hudson Bay Co, fought in every conflict before and after the founding, but none of that is pertinent if your criteria is "somewhere in the past your ancestor immigrated".
