I got into IA in college and devoured everything I could get. I like Apple’s Foundation, but I think the a faithful version could be pulled off. It would just have to be promoted correctly, so audiences came in with the right expectations. Positioning it like a Black Mirror anthology could work.

I UNDERSTAND why they made the changes, but I think I was not expecting them or realizing the changes were made. I was watching and they very early started veering off and combining storylines and books and I was like WTH? I think I prefer Jared Harris as Seldon to my imagined version. 😎

I'd love to see a faithful series of any of Empire/Robot/Foundation books, but I also love "I Robot".

I emphatically disagree. It doesn't follow any Asimov storylines, but followed the spirit. If nothing else it predicted the dangerous rise of AI, even eventually overthrowing the tech bros that created it--a twist I really enjoyed. Also, Alan Tudyck is genius.

Brett, I read it as a kid and loved it. Would you recommend the show?

Yes-- so long as you understand it's a bordered up version that swirls all the books and storylines into a new story.

Also-- RAISED BY WOLVES was a too-brief (only two seasons worth) very weird and wild and unusual sci-fi thing on Apple that STILL steals my thoughts and wonderings. Worth a look, IMO, if just for being so weird and different.
