I brought like 7 of those comics. I still got them...........someplace.
Holy CRAP, that’s dank.
Before Superman became a villain? get it?
All it took for Superman to turn to the 'Dark Side' was a failing career. It appears eating his feelings wasn't doing Dean any favors.
Yeah, remember when DC used to broadcast all their summer experimental stories in the mainstream news, grownups who didn’t read comic books heard about the Death of Superman arc and freaked out? 😱 And Marvel Jean Grey fans had to tell them “No, look, here’s how it works…. 🙄”
Death of Superman hit particularly big because it coincided with a "slow news day" when news outlets were reaching for whatever they could put out a story about. So, even folks like CNN were reporting on The Death of Superman.
Also, they didn’t think DC would announce this to the media unless it WAS some actual permanent obit for Superman. When DC similarly tried to get national attention for Batman in a wheelchair, we also panicked, but when DC reported on Superman’s brief stint as Lightning Man, they caught on…
Unironic respect for the audacity of this bitch.
😍
Dark... but brilliant.
Imagination is as strong as the man of steel. Imagination brings innovation as well as destruction.
