The most important immigration fights right now are about the Constitution. None of it has anything to do with the substance of immigration policy. If you stand with ICE, you stand against the Constitution. Can the govt... 1. racially profile? 2. set up checkpoints wherever they want?
3. trespass on private property? 4. detain people in unconstitutional conditions? 5. reject birth certificates as evidence of US citizenship? 6. deny citizenship to US-born children? 7. require a US passport to speak freely? 8. deport without due process?
9. deport to foreign prisons? 10. ignore statutes? 11. spend $$ not appropriated? 12. ignore court orders?
13. arrest people for filming/reporting on cops' faces? What's coming: 14. arrest people for informing people of their rights? 15. deport US citizens? 16. strip citizenship of US-born persons? 17. denaturalize for free speech?

As it stands most of the above,not all because some haven't been tried yet. But I dont have a lot of faith that scotus will help us here. Congress certainly won't.
