Dear Barrack, I recently discussed the issue of psychologically unstable people and access to guns with US friends. Some conditions are chronic, lasting a lifetime, but emotional crises can happen to anyone at any time. Readily available guns only elevate the risks of yet another mass shooting. 1/2

The UK and other European countries have extremely tough gun laws - more so than in the US. We have similar proportions of psychologically unstable people as the US, but significantly fewer mass shootings per capita; the people who promote easy access to guns in the US should maybe ask why. 2/2

A lot of them seem to be paid off by the gun companies, unfortunately. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

Of course. Maybe I’ll prick the conscience of 1% if I’m lucky, but that old chestnut - GREED - linked to US capitalism drives most, if not all, of the unconscionable acts of violence there - and I might add around the world.
