I never said I had a solution. Wish I did. I just explained some FD specific vocab. Then, someone put on a pretty clear display of Online Left behavior by acting the fool, calling me names, confusing me with someone else, etc. Until I blocked them. Then you professed confusion about my meaning.

Lots of people have very little appetite for politics. And that becomes zero when people talk down to them and verbally abuse them. There is a reason Mamdani is so cheery and nice to people, and it’s not just because he’s a nice guy. being nice wins people over. And being a dick chases them away.

Acknowledging that jerk behavior pushes people away is not an excuse, it is an explanation. That someone was a jerk doesn’t justify voting badly, but they don’t need to justify their votes to us. Moving left takes time, and every jerk is a speed bump to that transition at least, or a 🛑 at worst.
