When I was 17, I asked my grand dad how he'd like to be remembered. "I'm not what I ought to be and I'm not what I want to be. But I'm not yet what I'm going to be and by the grace of God I'm not what I was." He died seven months later at 62. #BlackSky

13 children with one wife. No cheating, married 45 years. WWII combat vet in the Battle of the Bulge. Marched in the 1963 March on Washington. Sent three sons to Vietnam -- one KIA. He + my Dad most impressive men I will ever meet in life and I've shaken Mandela's + Obama's hand. Thanks.
