So were Elizabeth Warren and AOC. They are not perfect, but the point is that experience shouldn't be the deciding factor. Experience at this point tends to mean the same people who have served the status quo long enough to bring us here.

AOC is in the House. I would back Platner's run for a House seat. However, I hold a higher bar for the Senate. Warren holds a law degree, taught at UPenn and Harvard, was a subject matter expert on commercial law and advised and sat on government commissions and boards. She is no Herschel Walker.

Oh, fer sure! If I lived in Maine and Platner were indeed the nominee I would vote for him. My gut tells me Collins would chew him up, though. I'm just saying there has to be someone in Maine with the background needed to seriously challenge Collins.
