and like ten thousand other words. i got a lot of them corrected bc i wouldn’t stop annoying my mom by reading passages out loud to her. french loanwords are mean to american children. i defmisread “theodor” in a mother goose and grimm comic as “the odor” so whatever

I for some reason could not parse that the word 'nevertheless' was just 'never the less' without the spaces. I said it like "Neverth'l'ss" :|

I’m in England right now and just two days ago found out “Gloucester” rhymes with “Foster” which means I have been reading the “Dr. Foster went to Gloucester” nursery rhyme incorrectly for 40 years

this is funny to me specifically bc i grew up in gloucester county nj so it’s one i’ve always known! but you’re absolutely right. worcestershire sauce! the garbling!
