Give me those anytime before cars parked on the footpath.

Those bollards have improved traffic flow dramatically at this junction. Drivers would park partially on the footpath for “just 5 mins” but their effective narrowing of the road and manouevering in and out caused huge delays - for drivers! And now they’re complaining?
So many drivers in Ireland will break any rule of the road unless they are physically prevented from doing so. The double yellow lines here would be enough elsewhere, but not here. I am almost surprised that people in SUVs don't just drive over these flexible bollards slowly and park anyway.
Every, single, thing, drivers complain about is their own fault. If they just followed the sensible rules, nothing they hate would happen. Apart from all the traffic, obviously. But that's their fault too.
Definitely not pretty. But far less ugly than a row of illegally parked cars.
