There is no moral equivalence as the Holocaust was systematic evil genovide without peer, but the UK does not deserve a free pass for war crime of Dresden and US does not deserve a free pass for war crimes of Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

I don't get the fixation with Dresden. There were far more abhorent targets of allied bombing efforts in nazi germany than Dresden. Dresden had at least startegic value as a logistics hub. There were plenty of german cities without strategic value, that were bombed.

But none to the extent of Dresden, costing 25k lives, with questionable military purpose, and occurring at end of war, when it was huge overkill and a display of allied military might?

Although I agree with most of this thread, and don't agree with Muscovite equivalence propaganda, it is still legitimate to question US Imperialism in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq and all the people we killed, raped, tortured etc. in name of democracy but really for military and economic interests.

Dresden was unquestionably a war crime. But it wasn’t part of any Allied campaign of genocide against Germany. The Israeli government has allowed itself to drift into a campaign of genocide against Gaza, only for the purpose of keeping Netanyahu in power and out of prison!
