You do occasionally see USians wanting to visit Europe and wanting to hire a car for their stay, because your society doesn't have the concept of a public transport network any more. This is often a thing on Reddit tourism threads.

As the old saying goes: the difference between Europeans and Americans is that Europeans think 200km is a long distance, and Americans think 200 years is a long time.
