Last time I checked to end homelessness and hunger each in the US would cost around 50 billion which means 100 billion total which is like 5-6% of our military budget. Homelessness is a policy choice that both parties agree on.

My understanding is it’s super hard to get a firm figure on total cost to end homelessness because we currently don’t pay anyone to even figure out how many people are homeless But yeah, all estimates are in the range of being equal to or less than the $47B they are about to blow on the border wall
