It does amaze me to witness the fragility of USA's government and institutions. A half baked, very stupid, transparent, door to door grifter so easily took over the most powerful and wealthy nation the world has ever seen, and then destroyed it in less than half a year. Genuinely amazing to see.

I totally agree with this. I think hardcore religion made people very susceptible to a strong man, an authoritarian leader. And the people that pushed it knew what they were doing. The USA population has been the victim of the world's biggest long con.
Citizen’s United making it essentially legal to buy elections and Regan’s “trickle down” economics crap also paved the way to where we are now.

You're right about the direction, but I don't think the country is fully destroyed yet. I don't mean we won't get there (I don't see how to avoid it) -- I just mean that if you think it can't get worse, history offers some grim lessons.
Sadly I agree with you. I think it'll get much worse. If I were a democrat or independent, I would avoid running for a position in government for decades. I would hate to be associated in any way with this

This didn't happen overnight. Multiple issues over 30+ years. When the Patriot Act was passed, Christian evangelists weren't laughed at for their crazy, US didn't close Guantanamo, or when Robert's court killed the US constitution multiple times. No consequences, no learning from actions

USA HAD DECADES to prosecute and imprison trump for his crimes against us, including money laundering for russians. this past decade of trump's crimes only occured because the united states of america 🇺🇸 🙄 government is so corrupt our laws were still NOT enforced. We allowed fascism to overthrow US.
