meanwhile in reality— as Massachusetts has demonstrated— the rich won't actually leave. they've been bluffing the whole time as was plainly obvious from the very beginning of them making their goofball threats to leave.

I'm not often defending millionaires but a lot of wealthy areas in ma actually voted for the tax increase. So it's not like all the millionaires are threatening to leave. Some are actively supporting the tax increase on themselves to help the community.
