I have a severely ill friend who lives in an old building there. It looks beautiful, but gets so hot. We build for cold winters in Finland, so we will get more issues over time, too. But luckily at least in newer rentals they have proper ventilation. Your stock is much older, too. Not so easy.

What I'm saying is, that I understand places with older buildings have more challenges. We all need better laws for building.

Yes, we do. And government assistance to help adapt older buildings.

I hadn't seen your earlier post. You are doing good work talking about this. Heat can be so bad for health.

It’s something that Brits have had to deal with only occasionally in the past, but it looks as though it’s going to be the new normal and I think it’s going to come as a shock to a lot of people. It’ll be a big challenge, but our government is focussed on performative racism instead of this 🙄

Yes, it’s going to be a huge problem. Housing built to the bare minimum standards of the day for a mild climate (both summer and winter). We should be tackling it with urgency now.
