FTR and Mercedes are probably the two most important "ex-WWE" type signings...for exactly that reason. Their dream was "I'm bigger than this place, and I'm going to prove it". - And they all did exactly that.

But not so ‘I can go back and be the big act’ but because ‘fuck you, I’m better than you will ever treat me and deserve better!’ WWE is their ex who regrets how they treated em and begs for em back but both have shown that what they want is more important!

I'd ads Toni Storm to the list as well. She's arguably the best character in all of wrestling these days and she never would have gotten the chance to do that in WWE.

Well yeah, she walked out on them mid tour and told em to shove their cream pies up ther arses! She’s been amazing in AEW.
