I would be...but, like... AEW commentary is solid. I don't know where you'd find the room. - We already have Taz, Schiavone, Excalibur, Nigel, plus random sit-ins like Don Callis, Daddy Magic, or the rare Danielson appearance. Ian sometimes. AEW is an embarrassment of riches with commentary.
JR is pretty much gone. Schiavone and Taz are getting older...but likely have plenty of time left on coms. So, it's hard to say when someone else would be able to fill a gap.
I would say, you could squeeze her into the RoH team if you tried hard enough. Ian, Coleman, and Veda...or if Ian gets bumped to the main roster more regularly...
I'd MAKE room. Seeing them listed like that there is a certain... homogeneity that AEW could make a bit more diverse.
In CMLL, they have an annual show (or more) where it is ALL FEMALE, including referees and commentators, announcers, etc. Bring her in for that as an intro and find a spot for her. Maybe have her and ... dunno.... be the English commentary for the CMLL Friday feeds with an AEW perspective built in
I'd put Veda in either as another Voice or maybe replace somebody. I just think aew could use a different voice. Though their commentary is excellent I don't have any problem with it now it's just not terribly diverse
I think it would be a good thing, mix and match her it, get her established with the fans with her own opinions and likes and stuff. It could lead to all kinds of stuff.

Maybe. But Excalibur isn't going anywhere, and he's already the play by play guy. To me...Taz, Schiavone and Excalibur are the best 3 person team I've ever seen. You get the play by play from Excalibur, and then you have legacy commentary from Schiavone, and the comedy of Taz playing off the others.
It would be hard for me to commit to changing that...unless something happens that forces it.
These are all very good points. The depth and skill of the broadcast team rivals that of the roster itself, still I would love for them to find a place for Veda to fit in.
Veda can add to commentary either on Dynamite or Collision because of her unique view on wrestling plus she's rare and has chemistry with everyone. Put her on Collision with Nigel, who she's good friends with, and Tony Schiavone or Ian when Tony isn't available. Everyone works well with Ian though.
Veda is excellent. I would never disagree with any stance about where she could fit, or what she can do. It's really just a space issue.
You can shift Tony around because he does what he's asked. Taz isn't always available and Tony also does college football too so sometimes he's not available this time of the year. It's why Ian is so valuable. Having too many great options on commentary is better than having too few like the fed.
I don't generally like the idea of bringing people on as temporary subs, because then it isn't regular work for them. - But, Veda does a ton of other stuff. So, maybe it's perfect for her. Who knows. - As far as a full time AEW spot, though...I just wouldn't touch those teams.
At this point, temporary might be the only availability though. Veda has a unique style too so it could lead to something more permanent if say Tony wants to stop doing commentary or go on the JR schedule.
Also feels like another hat got thrown into the ring with Bryan Danielson as he's pretty fantastic in that role too.
Right. There are a number of in-ring talents who could take up the commentary mantle when they are forced to permanently retire. Bryan is definitely at the top of that list. - It's unfortunate for anyone looking to join that team...but, there are a ton of credible options.
I always thought Jericho was great when he does guest commentary over the years going back to the fed. He feels like he adds to it without making himself the star over the action.
True, he's pretty good at it and doesn't jump on anyone's toes either. That is in itself a special talent on commentary. Knowing your role and not making yourself the story.
But they have guests on the table all the time, no reason they couldn't just slot her in.
I'd always be interested in replacing nigel on commentary.
