I think the problem will be when the next pres gets in they will reverse everything, the economy will shoot to the moon, and trump will go down in history as being the worse pres in history. I believe in the waiting game.

But that's not going to come back quickly either when the stock market also reacts to global forces, including foreign investment and tourism. If the US' standing is like a nice pie with a large dog turd on it, you can clean every scrap of shit off it but nobody's still going to want to eat it.

Until that sense of trust and safety comes back, no. 'Cheap' is always relative, planning a holiday is something the average household has to do well in advance. Your average European for example is going to need a way bigger incentive or reason than that not to stay in Europe.

Me, I had planned out with every intention of visit the US *this* year for the first time since 2009 as personal conditions were then right. But that's been made impossible, by the time 'normality' comes back the reasons for coming may well have gone and it's still going to feel 'broken' underneath.

Yep I disagree. The flights/hotels would be cheap AF also, because of 4 years of heightened inflation. Would be a deluge. This is the most influential country in the world, that kind of influence doesn't just go away because of one sitting president. Europeans would flock there

Yep. Trump has proven that there is currently nothing to stop the next Republican President doing this again - even if a Dem President takes over from him & reverses everything. That’s ignoring that Trump is breaking things that will never be fixable.
