FWIW the glassworking firm that my family attended held classes anywhere from one-day to several months in length. Depended on how far into the activity you wanted to go.
Well...for that glasswork I did, the prof kept a notebook in the drawer containing some of the equipment. Among other notes, students were required to record each time they got burned. Everyone---including the prof---had done so. "Hot glass looks like cold glass"🤣
...tubing and glass rod, and there was a fair bit of frustration when the glass did what *it* wanted, and not what *I* wanted. Like pottery on a wheel, except that you cannot touch the clay.😧
Liability, and the fact that glasswork is largely an art. Working with a blob of glowing yellow mass that constantly sags as it is handled...even simple actions become complex. Getting the "feel" of the glass takes time. I did some very simple glasswork in grad school--bending and shaping...
Wife and two daughters did a one-day shop in Seattle, over 10 years ago. We each made a small object; I made a glass dish. Actually I mostly just selected colors of glass bits and arranged them. Still, it was fun being in the shop and doing a bit of helping with the shaping.

OK, if you really want one, some states hold gun shows. In many cases one need not show ID, or one can get away with a fake one. These shows are publicly announced, they want people to buy stuff. Travel there. Of course, legality of ownership at home may be an issue...to be worked out individually.
